Our clients include private investors, property companies, pension funds and commercial occupiers. We offer a bespoke property management service via our subsidiary company Solutions in Property.


From our base in Edinburgh, we aim to provide personal and pragmatic advice to our clients throughout the UK.

Mike Harrison - Founding Partner

Mike founded Hood Harrison in 2010 and brings over 30 years' experience in the commercial property market. Throughout his career Mike has specialised in commercial property management, lease advisory and professional work and investment agency.


Mike aims to establish long term client relationships. His personal and pragmatic advice is valued by clients, some of whom have worked with him for decades.


When not working, Mike can be found either on a golf course searching for his ball in the rough, pedalling at a snail's pace uphill or walking in the hills of southern Scotland.

Jo Harrison - Finance Partner

Jo has been a partner at Hood Harrison since 2010 and specialises in all financial aspects of the business. Having qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1991, Jo has over 30 years' experience in commercial property management covering everything from tenant and contractor liaison to complex service charge management and administration.


In her spare time, Jo enjoys walking her dogs Dublin and Porter and supporting Edinburgh Rugby.

In 2021, Hood Harrison acquired the niche commercial property management company, Solutions in Property. This included the proprietary management software and experienced property management accounts personnel.


We are seeking to grow this element of the business by offering a service to our clients to add value to their portfolio through an effective and personal property management service which includes:


  • Full asset management and strategy advice
  • Property management and client accounting
  • Rent collection and credit control
  • Service charge budgeting and administration
  • Bespoke client reporting

Our clients benefit from highly experienced, director level surveyors dealing with their properties.


We have longstanding business relationships with a number of companies which allows us to offer all aspects of add-on services including building surveying, project management and agency.
